Raspberry puree recipe
Here’s a simple raspberry puree recipe:
Ingredients:
- 300 grams of fresh raspberries
- 2-3 tablespoons of granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice (optional)
Instructions:
- Wash the raspberries thoroughly and remove any stems.
- In a saucepan, combine the raspberries and sugar over medium heat.
- Cook the raspberries, stirring occasionally, until they start to break down and release their juices. This usually takes about 5-7 minutes.
- If using, add lemon juice to enhance the flavor and balance the sweetness.
- Mash the raspberries with a fork or potato masher to achieve a smoother consistency.
- Continue to cook for another 5-10 minutes, or until the mixture thickens slightly.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and let the raspberry puree cool.
- Once cooled, you can strain the puree to remove seeds if desired, or leave it as is for a more rustic texture.
- Store the raspberry puree in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
