Here’s a simple recipe for Ocean Trout with Miso Butter for 4 servings:

Ingredients:

  • 4 ocean trout fillets
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons white miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine)
  • 1 tablespoon sake
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped green onions
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the softened butter, white miso paste, soy sauce, mirin, sake, green onions, ginger, and sesame oil until well combined.
  3. Place the ocean trout fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Spread a generous amount of the miso butter mixture over each fillet, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until the trout is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
