NEPALI CHIKEN CURRY
Nepali Chicken Curry Recipe
Ingredients:
- 500g chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 large onions, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, pureed
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
- 2 teaspoons cumin powder
- 2 teaspoons coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1-2 minutes until the raw smell disappears.
- Stir in cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Cook the spices for another 2 minutes.
- Add chicken pieces to the spice mix. Brown the chicken on all sides.
- Pour in the tomato puree and season with salt. Mix well and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, allowing the chicken to cook through and absorb the flavors.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
