CHIKEN KORMA RECIPE
Ingredients:
- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/2 cup cashew nuts
- 1/4 cup poppy seeds
- 1/4 cup desiccated coconut
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- In a blender, make a smooth paste using yogurt, cashew nuts, poppy seeds, and desiccated coconut.
- Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onions, and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another 2 minutes.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until they are browned on all sides.
- Add garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Pour in the yogurt paste and cook on low heat until the chicken is tender and the masala is well-cooked. Add water if needed to achieve the desired consistency.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan.
