Dark chocolate sauce
Here’s a simple dark chocolate sauce recipe:
Ingredients:
- 150g dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher)
- 1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons (30g) unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons (30g) granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions:
- Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces for easy melting.
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it starts to simmer. Avoid boiling.
- Once the cream is warm, add the chopped chocolate, butter, and sugar to the saucepan.
- Stir continuously until the chocolate and butter melt, and the mixture becomes smooth and glossy.
- Remove from heat and add vanilla extract if desired. Stir well.
- Let the chocolate sauce cool for a few minutes before serving. It will thicken as it cools.
